Fig Brie Arugula Grilled Cheese (Printable)

# Ingredient list:

01 - 4 slices sourdough bread
02 - 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

→ Fruits & Greens

04 - 2 tbsp fig preserves
05 - 1 cup fresh arugula

→ Optional (for serving)

06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Cooking steps:

01 - Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
02 - Place two bread slices, butter side down, on a clean surface and spread 1 tablespoon of fig preserves evenly on each slice.
03 - Layer sliced Brie evenly over the fig preserves, then add a generous handful of fresh arugula on top.
04 - Top each with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
05 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
06 - Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, pressing gently, until bread is golden brown and cheese has melted.
07 - Remove sandwiches from heat, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve. Optionally, season with freshly ground black pepper.
