02 - 7 oz good-quality white chocolate

03 - 8 peppermint candy canes or 4 oz crushed hard peppermint candies
04 - 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)

05 - 0.7 oz crushed freeze-dried raspberries (optional)
06 - 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)
# Cooking steps:
01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
03 - Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into a roughly 1/4-inch thick rectangle using a spatula.
04 - Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the chocolate is just set but still soft.
05 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method and stir in peppermint extract if using.
06 - Pour the melted white chocolate evenly over the chilled dark chocolate layer.
07 - Immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candies and optional garnishes over the white chocolate, pressing lightly to adhere.
08 - Chill again for 20 to 30 minutes until fully set.
09 - Break or cut the bark into irregular shards.
10 - Arrange shards loosely on a large wooden board for sharing.
