# Expert advice:

01 -
  • It comes together in 10 minutes flat, which means you can make it even when guests are already at your door.
  • The flavor deepens as it sits, so you can prep it hours ahead and let the fridge do the work for you.
  • It genuinely tastes special without requiring any alcohol or complicated ingredients.
02 -
  • The sparkling water goes in last—if you add it too early, you'll end up with a flat drink by the time you serve it.
  • Freshly squeezed juice really does taste different; bottled juice will work, but the drink loses some of its brightness and life.
03 -
  • Freeze some of your sliced fruit in ice cubes ahead of time so when they melt, they flavor the drink rather than diluting it.
  • If your juices aren't very cold to start, the drink will be warmer than you want—always chill your juice first or add more ice.
